Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Roosa Järviläinen and Ben Zyskovitsi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jansen fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Jansen closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Tuco is trying to control Jansen's posture but Jansen avoids it.
Tuco is looking to regain half guard here but Jansen keeps moving and retains side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Jansen seems to be working for a kimura but Tuco defends the submission attempt.

It looks like Jansen is going to stand back up.

Tuco tries to bum rush Jansen with a series of wild strikes but Jansen uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
A right-left combo lands from Tuco.
The fighters circle momentarily. Tuco darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Tuco throws a right hand that Jansen ducks under and follows up with a left that Jansen also avoids with ease.
Tuco feints and as Jansen raises his hands in defense, Tuco changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Jansen thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.

and Tuco counters with a nice low kick that buckles Jansen's knee momentarily.

Jansen is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Tuco is looking to work some ground and pound but Jansen has wrist control.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Jansen is on top in guard.

Tuco has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Jansen is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Tuco.
Jansen passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Tuco!

Jansen fails to take his opponent's back.
Tuco tries to lock up and control but Jansen gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Tuco can't escape the position.
Tuco manages to regain half guard. Good work.
Tuco is trying to control but can't.
Tuco is looking for a sweep. Jansen is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Valdemar Tuco dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Tuco misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

and Jansen counters with a shoot takedown. Tuco fights it but they end up in guard.
Jansen won't allow Tuco to sweep him here.
Tuco manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Jansen is working to get back to half guard.
Tuco has hold of Jansen's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Jansen manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Jansen avoids a series of strikes thrown by Tuco.

Jansen bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

Jansen has an Americana. Tuco didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Jansen is delighted and gyrates infront of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Jansen hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
