Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Miguel Alvarez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and David Woods (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Alvarez kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genuis that is Bone Crusher - I Never Scared. This should be fireworks!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alvarez throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Woods.
Alvarez shoots in but Woods avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Alvarez will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Alvarez lands a nice shot that snaps Woods's head back.
It looks like David Woods has been cut.
Woods uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Alvarez.
Alvarez throws a series of punches but Woods moves out of range.
Alvarez cracks Woods with a right hand to the side of the head.
Alvarez misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Woods closes the distance and clinches up with Alvarez, looking for a takedown. Woods pushes Alvarez against the cage but Alvarez circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Woods lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Alvarez!

Alvarez has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Woods to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Alvarez is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Woods pulls down on the head and he's put Alvarez to sleep! This one is all over!
