Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Igor Devezas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hiroshi Karasawa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Igor Devezas has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Igor Devezas! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Hiroshi Karasawa! The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Kenichi Hosakawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Devezas doesn't succeed with the takedown and Karasawa counters with a nice double leg into guard. Karasawa slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Devezas not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Devezas is looking to stand up but Karasawa isn't so interested in that idea. Karasawa thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Devezas wants to sweep but no luck. Karasawa not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Devezas trying to control the position.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Devezas throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. Devezas swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Karasawa fails to land with a series of punches.
Karasawa gets a double leg takedown into Devezas's guard. Karasawa missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Karasawa won't allow Devezas to get back to his feet. Devezas is breathing heavily. Karasawa decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Karasawa has closed the distance and engaged Devezas in a clinch.
Karasawa has picked Devezas up - he's going for a ride! Karasawa dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Karasawa is figuring out what he wants to do next. Devezas looking for a kimura from the bottom but Karasawa passes into side control! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Karasawa landing with strikes to the head and body from side control. Devezas seems a little lost for a moment, as Karasawa dominates the positioning. Karasawa scoring with punches from side control. Karasawa controlling the position from side mount.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Karasawa connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Devezas some visible discomfort.
Devezas gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there! Karasawa controlling from the full mount. Karasawa raining down hammerfists from mount. Karasawa is working for a guillotine from mount but Devezas frees his head quite easily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Karasawa working the ground and pound effectively.

Karasawa controlling his opponent. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Karasawa's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Karasawa gets in close and instigates a clinch. Karasawa is trying to trip Devezas. He has hold of a leg but Devezas is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Karasawa persists though and gets the takedown into guard. Devezas wants to sweep here but Karasawa controlling him for the moment. Hiroshi Karasawa has got the better of the ground game so far. Karasawa throwing strikes but missing. Devezas is trying to control the position but Karasawa postures up. Devezas wants to sweep here but Karasawa controlling him for the moment. Karasawa controlling from the top position. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Karasawa is in close to Devezas's body, working some short punches and elbows. Devezas is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Karasawa is controlling him. Karasawa is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Karasawa is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Karasawa controls from within his opponent's guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Karasawa decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Igor Devezas is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Devezas swings for the body but Karasawa moves out of range.
Karasawa keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Karasawa shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Karasawa slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Karasawa is working Devezas over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Karasawa sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Devezas's guard. Karasawa controlling the action here. Karasawa frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Karasawa takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Karasawa has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Karasawa lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Karasawa looking to control and managing it successfully. Devezas is working to get back to half guard.
Karasawa lands a nice shot to the head. Karasawa takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Karasawa cracks Devezas with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Hiroshi Karasawa showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Devezas's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
Karasawa feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Karasawa slips nicely into half guard. Devezas is looking to improve his position.
Ground and pound from Karasawa. Karasawa with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Let's hope that Karasawa has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Karasawa is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Devezas sees it coming and defends easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Devezas is trying to get back to full guard. Karasawa not doing much here.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Hiroshi Karasawa hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Karasawa closes the distance and pushes Devezas back into the cage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Devezas is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Karasawa pulls him back up using the underhooks. Karasawa escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Devezas doesn't manage to clinch there - Karasawa circles away.
Karasawa closes this distance looking for a takedown but Devezas circles away. Karasawa stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Karasawa wants it to stay on the feet. Karasawa pushes Devezas up against the cage in a clinch. Karasawa jumps guard.
Karasawa is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Devezas is aware though and is defending well. This has been an exciting period of action! Karasawa seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Karasawa is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Karasawa breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Karasawa shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Devezas's guard. Karasawa passes Devezas's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Devezas moves into full guard.
Karasawa not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Devezas working a defensive guard but Karasawa manages to pass into side control anyway.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Devezas being controlled for a moment. Karasawa moves into full mount! Devezas takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Karasawa raining down shots from the mount! Igor Devezas has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Hiroshi Karasawa is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Devezas is arching his back trying to strike from the bottom but Karasawa turns him over and now has his back.
And that's the end of the fight! Hiroshi Karasawa comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Karasawa has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
