Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bruiser Halperin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Josh Turnbuckle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Halperin might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Somewhere Over the Rainbow. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Bruiser Halperin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Josh Turnbuckle!
The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Franklyn Lucas and Lou da Vinci.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Halperin scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Turnbuckle lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Turnbuckle.

and Turnbuckle counters with a nice double leg into half guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Turnbuckle is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Halperin is just riding it out for now. Turnbuckle eventually gives up the hold.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Turnbuckle shoots in looking for a takedown. Halperin tries to sprawl out of it but Turnbuckle keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Halperin manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Halperin knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Turnbuckle on the ground.

Turnbuckle changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Halperin tries to avoid it but Turnbuckle manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Halperin to the ground. Halperin escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Turnbuckle is working to tighten is grip on Halperin's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Halperin has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Turnbuckle is really squeezing tight and eventually Halperin passes out! Turnbuckle breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
