Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Nick James (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wile Coyote (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Wile Coyote! The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, John Mangel and Bruno Hogan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Coyote fails with an attempt to clinch.
Coyote staying out of range there. James closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. James can't break the clinch.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! James will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Nick James. That's going to take a lot out of him. Coyote stuffs the takedown attempt from James. James gets slowly back to his feet. Coyote clinches with his opponent.

James manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Coyote moves into range and clinches up with James. A short right from Coyote on the inside. James wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Coyote digs a right hand into James's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on James's gas tank. James is trying to push Coyote away but Coyote has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Coyote lands an elbow just above James 's eye. Coyote tries to land a knee to the head but James blocks with his arms.

Coyote tries to close the distance and clinch but James swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. James on the wrong end of a nice hook. Good leg kick by Coyote there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

Coyote prevents James from breaking the clinch. Coyote comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush. Coyote manages to break the clinch.

James has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Coyote is looking to take this fight into the clinch. This is turning into a torrid day at the office for James. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery. Coyote scores with a shoulder strike. Coyote breaks the clinch.

James's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Coyote has James pressed against the cage, preventing James from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Coyote gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head. James is trying to push Coyote away but Coyote has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. And that's the end of the fight! Wile Coyote comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Coyote has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today.
