Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Leon Bridges (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jake Devereau (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Leon Bridges! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jake Devereau! The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, John Roberts and Bruno Lombardi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bridges thows a body shot but no joy. Bridges swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Bridges scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Bridges misses the shot to the body. No luck with that takedown attempt from Bridges. Devereau takes a body punch but keeps moving. Devereau takes one to the side of the head.
Bridges bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Devereau misses with a wild body shot. Bridges ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Devereau takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Jake Devereau seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Devereau tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
That's one minute gone in the round. Devereau keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Devereau misses with a shot to the body enabling Bridges to counter with a crisp jab. Devereau misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Bridges shoots in for a double leg but Devereau sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Devereau goes for a high kick. It partially lands. Bridges is looking to wear down Devereau with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment. Bridges lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Devereau at a distance.
Bridges slips a jab from Devereau. Devereau fails to land with a series of punches.
Bridges scores with a takedown into Devereau's guard. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Bridges showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bridges trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Bridges trying to control but Devereau is working from the bottom. Devereau preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Bridges throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bridges pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Devereau is keeping the position for now. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Devereau can do anything to dispel that myth.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Bridges fails with a takedown attempt from distance. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Leon Bridges. That's going to take a lot out of him. Devereau throws a right hand that Bridges ducks under and follows up with a left that Bridges also avoids with ease. Bridges cracks Devereau with an open hand slap. A head kick misses from Devereau. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Bridges. Bridges fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Devereau manages to avoid it. Devereau misses the shot to the body.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Devereau tries to sprawl but Bridges drives through with a takedown into half guard. Bridges has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Bridges looking to control but Devereau is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Devereau really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Bridges. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Bridges throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Devereau because Bridges loaded up on that one. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Devereau is bucking up trying to escape but Bridges cracks him with another couple of good strikes. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Devereau throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Bridges misses with a hook to the body
and Devereau cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Bridges takes a swing at Devereau's ribcage but misses. Bridges slips a jab from Devereau. Bridges ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Bridges digs a good body shot into Devereau's ribs. Bridges dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Devereau is breathing heavily. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Devereau just misses with a punch to the body.

That's one minute gone in the round. Bridges throws a body punch but Devereau moves out of range. Bridges changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Devereau looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Bridges landing strikes. Devereau is trying to escape the position but Bridges is controlling the position. Bridges landing a few strikes. Bridges trying to control the position but Devereau is working away. Bridges is staying tight to Devereau's torso, preventing him from escaping.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bridges working the body and head with strikes. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Bridges advances to mount. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Bridges looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. The referee warns Devereau that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bridges lands a big elbow. Bridges lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Bridges with good strikes from the mount here! Bridges postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Devereau looks a forlorn figure.
Devereau is rocked! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Bridges landing shots from mount. Devereau is still in real trouble! Can Bridges finish him? Bridges controlling the pace for now. Bridges has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Bridges fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Whack. That's a big, big shot from Bridges! Devereau is out cold! This one is all over!
