1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Josef Dellal! The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Skip Squint and Eliza Hachem.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dellal fails to land the takedown. This fight brought to you by 5M nutrition - it's mmmmm tasty. Nice jab by Dellal. Dellal shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Murthy is trying to defend but Dellal finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Dellal wants to take a breather but Murthy is having none of it. Dellal missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Dellal wants to pass to mount but Murthy is defending the position. Dellal missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Dellal wants to pass the guard but Murthy is defending well. Murthy is looking to improve his position.
Dellal is looking for a kimura but Murthy is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Dellal to get the leverage.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Dellal missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Murthy is trying to stand back up but Dellal is controlling him
Dellal has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Murthy defend it? Dellal steps over the head and cranks it - Murthy is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Dellal!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:37 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Josef Dellal! A relieved looking Josef Dellal thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
