The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Radbod Blank and Daniel Blasius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hazel closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Payne did well to prevent Hazel getting side control.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Hazel prevents Payne from improving his position.
Hazel not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Hazel takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Hazel seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Payne for as long as he can get away with.
Payne is trying to control but can't.
Hazel seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Hazel circles away from the clinch attempt.

Payne pulls guard effortlessly.
Hazel lands a couple of decent looking shots.

Hazel stands and throws Payne's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Payne stops Hazel from passing to mount.
Payne avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Hazel.
Hazel is working to tighten is grip on Payne's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Payne has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Hazel is really squeezing tight and eventually Payne passes out! Hazel breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
