Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hondo Barracks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mario Ferrari (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Hondo Barracks!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mario Ferrari!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Daniel Franklin and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barracks steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Ferrari.
Ferrari does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Barracks takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Ferrari is looking to score with low kicks.
Barracks closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Barracks defending well as Ferrari loads up on a big left hand.
Ferrari lands with a thumping leg kick.
Ferrari stuffs the takedown.
Barracks shoots in and drives through. Ferrari sprawls well.
Ferrari ducks under a wild hook from Barracks.
Ferrari scores with a punch to the head.
Barracks rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Ferrari moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Barracks throws a looping overhand right but Ferrari ducks down to avoid it.
Donk. Ferrari catches Barracks right on the button with a cross.

Ferrari lands a nice leg kick that just misses Barracks's sensitive parts.
Ferrari lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Barracks moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Ferrari is looking to land body kicks.

Barracks shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Ferrari as he avoids it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Hondo Barracks. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Donk. Ferrari catches Barracks right on the button with a cross.

Ferrari throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.
Barracks is breathing heavily.
Ferrari scores with a head kick.
Ferrari moves in looking to clinch but Barracks pushes him off.

Ferrari fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Barracks.
Ferrari throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Ferrari tries to clinch but Barracks moves out of range.
A thudding body kick lands there by Ferrari!
Ferrari throws a head kick that half lands.

Ferrari has taken the fight to the clinch.
Ferrari lands a damaging elbow.
Barracks takes an elbow to the temple.
Ferrari creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Barracks's defenses.
Ferrari lands with a light punch inside.
Ferrari stalls.
Ferrari swings away with an uppercut that misses.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Ferrari gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
Ferrari lands a nice elbow.
Barracks tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Ferrari's elbow.
Knees in the clinch landing for Ferrari.

Ferrari breaks the clinch.
Barracks on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Ferrari moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Barracks closes the distance and clinches up with Ferrari, looking for a takedown. Barracks pushes Ferrari against the cage but Ferrari circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Ferrari scores with a kick to the midsection.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
A slapping leg kick lands for Ferrari.

Ferrari scores with a jab to the jaw.
Barracks takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.

Ferrari fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Barracks, pushing him back against the cage.
Ferrari softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage.
Barracks is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.
Ferrari's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Ferrari lands an elbow that stopped Barracks in his tracks for a moment.
Ferrari misses with a knee strike.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Ferrari manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Ferrari with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Mario Ferrari dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Barracks walks into a left hand.
Barracks gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Barracks tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Ferrari feints and then cracks Barracks's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Barracks down.
Ferrari throws a sloppy head kick and Barracks moves out of range easily.
Ferrari lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Barracks at a distance.

Ferrari gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Barracks to score an easy takedown into full guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

Ferrari looking for subs off his back but Barracks has passed one foot through into half guard.

Ferrari trying to control from the bottom.
Ferrari tries to roll over but Barracks keeps him under control.
Ferrari works his way to full guard. Good work.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Ferrari working a defensive guard but Barracks manages to pass into side control anyway.

Ferrari tries to buck Barracks off but Barracks is having none of it.
Ferrari wants to get back to his feet but Barracks drags him back down.
Ferrari has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Ferrari struggling a bit here.
Ferrari is looking for a sweep.
Ferrari manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
Barracks tries to get to full guard but Ferrari has control of the leg.

Ferrari won't allow Barracks to sweep him here.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Ferrari slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Mario Ferrari hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Barracks uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Ferrari.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Mario Ferrari showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!


A head kick from Ferrari lands but Barracks takes it in his stride.
Ferrari lands with a good body shot.
Barracks tries to score a power double leg takedown but Ferrari sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Barracks somewhat.

Ferrari buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Ferrari throws a head kick that Barracks semi-blocks.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Barracks on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Ferrari. Ferrari obviously looking to wear him down.
Mario Ferrari seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Ferrari connects with a leg kick. Barracks looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Ferrari feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Barracks's calf.

Barracks steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Ferrari. That one must have hurt.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Ferrari connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Ferrari scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Mario Ferrari is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Mario Ferrari is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Ferrari pushes Barracks up against the cage in a clinch.

Ferrari lands a left hand that snaps the head of Barracks backwards.

A head punch on the inside from Barracks fails to land.
Barracks tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Ferrari pushes Barracks back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Barracks has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Ferrari avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Ferrari gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.


It looks like Hondo Barracks has been cut.
Barracks tries for a takedown but Ferrari manages to get underhooks.
Barracks will be looking to protect his midsection after taking some solid kicks to the body.
Ferrari putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Barracks in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Ferrari lands an elbow inside that Barracks shrugs off.
Hondo Barracks has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Ferrari gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Barracks.

And that's the end of the fight!
Mario Ferrari comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Ferrari has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
