Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Seppo Pesonen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bob Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Seppo Pesonen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Bob Johnson!
The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Mauricio Rocha and Emerson Jorge.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Pesonen shoots for a double leg takedown but Johnson sprawls well. He's pushed Pesonen's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Pesonen.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Seppo Pesonen. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Johnson fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Pesonen.
Pesonen fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Pesonen shoots in looking for a takedown. Johnson tries to sprawl out of it but Pesonen keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Johnson manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Johnson moves into the clinch.
Pesonen is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Johnson escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Johnson closes the distance and clinches.
Johnson prevents the takedown attempt.

Johnson turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
Pesonen tries to improve position but can't.
Pesonen is breathing heavily.
Johnson working the ground and pound from side control.
Pesonen seems a little lost for a moment, as Johnson dominates the positioning.
Pesonen is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

Johnson working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Johnson is looking to take a break and control but Pesonen is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Pesonen prevents Johnson from moving into mount.

Johnson is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Pesonen has escaped the position, nice work there.
Pesonen regains half guard.
Johnson wants to pass to mount but Pesonen is defending the position.
Johnson thows a huge punch but Pesonen dodges it nicely.
Pesonen wants to get back to full guard.

Johnson in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Pesonen tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Johnson!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:01 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Bob Johnson!
