Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Paukku checks a leg kick.
Kalervo Paukku seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Bastarrachea throws a jab but it's blocked by Paukku.
Bastarrachea is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Paukku throws a nice looking combination but Bastarrachea bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Bastarrachea throws a leg kick which misses Paukku's front leg but catches the back leg as Paukku tries to avoid it.
Paukku fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Paukku misses the shot to the body.
No luck for Paukku with that takedown attempt.

Paukku takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Paukku steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Bastarrachea. That one must have hurt.

Bastarrachea rushes Paukku and presses him up against the cage.

Paukku fails to land with a short punch on the inside.

A short uppercut from Bastarrachea.
Bastarrachea is working Paukku over against the cage.
Bastarrachea throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Paukkus head.
Bastarrachea lands on the inside with an uppercut.
Bastarrachea manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Bastarrachea breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Bastarrachea lands a nice looking body kick.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Bastarrachea tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Bastarrachea feints and then cracks Paukku's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Paukku down.
Good leg kick by Bastarrachea there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Bastarrachea throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Paukku.
Paukku slips a jab from Bastarrachea.
Paukku swings and misses with a shot to the body
and as Paukku loses concentration momentarily, Bastarrachea counters with a picture perfect head kick! Paukku goes down, out cold! The referee rushed in to check on his condition - I'm sure he'll be ok but that was a massive knockout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Xavier Bastarrachea!
Our winner, Xavier Bastarrachea, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
