Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Thae Ondo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yuri Boyko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Thae Ondo! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Yuri Boyko! The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Alan Glass and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ondo lands a head kick. Boyko smiles back at him and beckons him forward. Boyko closes the distance and clinches up with Ondo, looking for a takedown. Boyko pushes Ondo against the cage but Ondo circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Ondo throws a head kick that half lands.
Ondo lets loose with a powerful body kick. Boyko will feel that in the morning. A solid leg kick lands there for Ondo.
Ondo gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Ondo being controlled here, momentarily. Boyko stands and steps away. Ondo gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Ondo lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Ondo fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Boyko has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ondo throws a head kick that Boyko semi-blocks.
Excellent takedown into side control there by Boyko. Boyko lands some shots froms side control. Boyko wants to lay and pray for a moment but Ondo keeps working. Boyko stands up and we're back to a striking position. Boyko fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Ondo manages to avoid it. Boyko feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Boyko is pushing down on Ondo's leg trying to pass to half guard. Ondo is fighting to maintain full guard but Boyko has managed to sneak the leg through.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Boyko controlling the action here. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Boyko postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Ondo to stand up. Sloppy strikes from Boyko. Those never looked like landing. Boyko looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Boyko stands up out of the half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Boyko takes a kick to the side of the head. Boyko walks forward, straight into a front kick from Ondo. Boyko tries for a takedown but Ondo sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Boyko looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Thae Ondo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Boyko looks gassed! Ondo fails to land with a series of punches.

Boyko darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Boyko is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Boyko takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Boyko works his way into full mount! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Boyko cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Yuri Boyko dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
A solid leg kick lands there for Ondo.
Ondo throws a quick inside leg kick. Ondo throws a sloppy head kick and Boyko moves out of range easily. Ondo misses with an uppercut. Boyko saw that one coming. Ondo keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Boyko has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Ondo. Ondo misses with a head kick.
Ondo throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Boyko decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Ondo is looking for a sweep. Boyko is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Still in half guard, Boyko seems content to control. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Ondo pushes Boyko off but Boyko dives into side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ondo being controlled for a moment. Boyko stands up and we're back to a striking position. Boyko forces Ondo back against the cage and clinches.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ondo has had enough of the clinch but Boyko keeps him there for the moment. Come on Boyko - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Ondo stalling in the clinch but Boyko improves position. Ondo working hard to break the clinch. Ondo wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Boyko has picked Ondo up - he's going for a ride! Boyko dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard. Boyko perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Boyko moves into full mount! Ondo won't be happy about that! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Boyko lands a heavy elbow.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Boyko sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Boyko with good strikes from the mount here! Boyko controlling from mount. Ondo on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Ondo tries to get out of the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Boyko is working for a guillotine from mount but Ondo frees his head quite easily.

Yuri Boyko showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

Ondo thumps Boyko with a low kick. Ondo keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Thae Ondo has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Yuri Boyko. Boyko shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Thae Ondo is winning the standup battle so far. Ondo throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Boyko goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Ondo displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Boyko. Boyko just misses with a punch to the body.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ondo throws a head kick that misses. Ondo throws a wild body kick that Boyko sees coming a mile off. Ondo tries to keep at a distance but Boyko has taken the fight into the clinch. Ondo wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Boyko keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Ondo's efforts to push away. Boyko keeps control of Ondo as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Boyko jumps guard but Ondo stands there with Boyko around his waist. Boyko gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Ondo scores with a push kick. Ondo displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Boyko. Ondo slaps away a takedown attempt from Boyko, before circling back to the center of the mat. Ondo moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Ondo throws a mid kick that lands with a slap. This has been an exciting period of action! Ondo throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Boyko rushes Ondo and presses him up against the cage. Ondo wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Yuri Boyko is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Ondo wants to get back to striking at distance but Boyko won't allow it.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Thae Ondo. I think Boyko has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
