The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice shot lands for Solomon.

That's time! Solomon's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
Maia walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Solomon wants to clinch up but Maia keeps it at a distance.
Solomon jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Maia takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Solomon throws a one two combo.
Maia shoots in but Solomon avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Maia misses with a low kick.
Solomon keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Solomon is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
Solomon ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Maia throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Maia misses with a wild body shot.
Maia throws a shot from downtown. Solomon moves away and avoids it.

Solomon lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
It looks like Demian Maia has been cut.
Solomon tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Maia paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Maia throws out a leg kick but Solomon moves out of range and Maia only half commits.

Maia lands a hook that snaps the head of Solomon backwards.
Solomon pushes Maia back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Maia can't get the takedown.
Dick Solomon has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Demian Maia.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Solomon tries to throw a body punch but Maia avoids it by throwing Solomon back against the cage.

Maia takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Solomon misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Solomon digs a good hook to Maia's body.
Maia has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Solomon finds it's way round the side to connect with Maia's head.
Maia is still on wobbly legs! Can Solomon finish him?
BOOM! Solomon lands a beautiful left hook that drops Maia. Maia tries to recover but Solomon is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Maia lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!
