The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sparta shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Wachenfeld's guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Wachenfeld is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Sparta looking to sit in guard and control but Wachenfeld gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Sparta manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Wachenfeld defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Sparta.

Sparta misses with a takedown attempt - Wachenfeld sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Wachenfeld feints and as Sparta raises his hands in defense, Wachenfeld changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Wachenfeld has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Sparta is proving hard to escape from.
