The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Deshawn misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Deshawn looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Buster is fending him off so far but Deshawn persists. Nope, Buster circles away and we're back to standing.
Buster slaps away a takedown attempt from Deshawn, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Buster stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Buster wants it to stay on the feet.
Bronco Buster has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jake Deshawn.
Deshawn shoots in looking for a takedown. Buster tries to sprawl out of it but Deshawn keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Buster manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Buster lands with a cross.
Buster swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Buster lands a slapping body shot.

Buster gets a takedown into half guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Deshawn tries to kick Buster off but Buster keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Deshawn looks gassed!

Bronco Buster decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
