Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Adam Wolf (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Murilo Escobar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Escobar has chosen Cute Without the E as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Adam Wolf!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Murilo Escobar!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, William Peck and Trevor Gratis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Wolf closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Wolf tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Wolf has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Escobar is trying to improve his position.
Wolf laying and praying for a moment but Escobar takes advantage and regains half guard.

Wolf is looking for a kimura here.
Wolf prevents Escobar from improving his position.

Wolf looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Wolf is breathing heavily.
Escobar gets full guard.
Escobar is trying to control the position but Wolf postures up.
Wolf has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Escobar gets a clinch.
Escobar wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Wolf will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Wolf closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Wolf lands in his opponent's guard.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Wolf wants to control from the top but Escobar keeps moving.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Escobar passes Wolf's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Wolf is looking to improve his position.
Escobar landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Wolf is not content to let Escobar control the position.
Escobar is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
Wolf tries to roll over but Escobar keeps him under control.
Escobar lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Escobar works his foot free and advances to mount.

Wolf looking to escape from mount but he's given up his back!
Can Wolf hold on?! Escobar is landing more strikes to his hapless foe.
Wolf is covering up but some of the strikes from Escobar are getting through and doing damage.
Escobar is trying to stick to Wolf's back but Wolf is turning into Escobar. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Escobar's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Wolf.

A close round but Murilo Escobar will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Wolf swats away the attempt to clinch by Escobar.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Wolf lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Escobar has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Escobar and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Escobar closes the distance but Wolf moves to the side

and Wolf counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Escobar's guard now.
Wolf wants to pass the guard but Escobar is keeping the position.
Escobar keeping moving, preventing Wolf from controlling successfully.
Escobar is pulling down on Wolf's head. It's preventing any offense from Wolf, at least for the moment.
Wolf is looking to advance position but Escobar has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!
Escobar trying to control but Wolf is having none of it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Escobar lands a heavy elbow.
Escobar can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Wolf is looking to escape.
Wolf keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Wolf is trying to reverse the position but instead Escobar has taken his back - oops!
Wolf is trying to break free.

Escobar is looking for the choke from the back position but Wolf is controlling his hands well.
Escobar doesn't have the hooks in and Wolf manages to turn into his guard.
Escobar is trying to control the position but Wolf postures up.

Wolf pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Escobar is keeping the position for now.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Wolf gets the takedown into side control.

Wolf has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Wolf shoots in and drives through. Escobar sprawls well.

Wolf shoots in and bounces Escobar off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Adam Wolf overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Wolf postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Escobar is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Wolf, into his guard.

Wolf jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Escobar is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Escobar and Wolf has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Wolf is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Escobar has escaped the position, nice work there.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Wolf throws an elbow but Escobar slips to the side and avoids it well.
Wolf misses with the ground and pound.
Escobar struggling a bit here.
Wolf has knee on belly momentarily but Escobar bucks him off and regains half guard.
Wolf throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

Escobar works his way to full guard. Good work.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Adam Wolf dominated that second round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!


Wolf tries for a takedown but Escobar sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Escobar is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Wolf is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Wolf tries to buck Escobar off but Escobar is having none of it.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.

Escobar is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Wolf has escaped the position, nice work there.
Wolf is looking to reverse the position.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
You can see the frustration on Wolf's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Wolf manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!

Wolf is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Escobar is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
