Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Greg Carter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Thor Ragnarok (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Greg Carter has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Greg Carter! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Thor Ragnarok! The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Wagner Zegers and Daniel Blasius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Carter swings for the body but Ragnarok moves out of range.

Ragnarok will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Carter with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Ragnarok to score with a decent uppercut. Carter moves into range and clinches up with Ragnarok. Carter digs a right hand into Ragnarok's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Ragnarok's gas tank. Ragnarok decides to pull guard. Carter throwing strikes from guard but Ragnarok blocks nicely. Ragnarok wants to sweep but no luck. Carter trying to control but Ragnarok is working from the bottom. Carter stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Ragnarok swivels though and keeps the full guard. Ragnarok utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ragnarok looking to control.
Ragnarok trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from! Carter postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Carter trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Ragnarok is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Carter defends well. Ragnarok utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Carter working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Carter throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Ragnarok works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Carter postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Carter throws and elbow that misses. Ragnarok uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Carter's guard. Nice move by Ragnarok!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Carter is controlling Ragnarok's posture. Ragnarok drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Carter manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Ragnarok has Carter in his guard. Ragnarok looks gassed! Carter trying to control but Ragnarok is working from the bottom. Carter is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Carter throws a strike but Ragnarok rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Ragnarok stopping the sweep attempt from Carter. Ragnarok loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Ragnarok would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Ragnarok tries to free his leg and advance position but Carter is retaining full guard. Ragnarok is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Carter wants to stand and escape but Ragnarok is having none of it. Ragnarok trying to control the position from guard on top but Carter is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Ragnarok tries to close the distance and clinch up but Carter swats him away and circles back towards the center. The fight moves into the clinch position. Carter scores with a hook to the body. Carter lands on the inside with an uppercut. Ragnarok breaks from the clinch.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Carter lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. A bone on bone clash there as Carter blocks the leg kick.
This has been an exciting period of action! Ragnarok doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Carter scores with a jab. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Greg Carter dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Ragnarok gets tackled into the cage by Carter. Carter maintains the clinch.
It looks like Thor Ragnarok has been cut. Ragnarok is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Carter is defending well. Ragnarok jumps guard but Carter stands there with Ragnarok around his waist. Ragnarok gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
A short right from Carter on the inside. Ragnarok wants to break free but Carter has control.
Ragnarok jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Carter walks away with a smile on his face. Ragnarok gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Greg Carter has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Thor Ragnarok. Carter fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Ragnarok, pushing him back against the cage. Carter's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. Still in the clinch, Carter scores with a nice short uppercut. Ragnarok is breathing heavily. Carter lands with a light punch inside.
That's one minute gone in the round. Carter lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. Carter scores with a shot to the side of Ragnarok's head. Carter avoiding damage as Ragnarok throws knees to the body.
Ragnarok creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses. Ragnarok tries to pull guard but Carter won't allow it.
Carter pushes Ragnarok back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head. Carter lands a left hand that snaps the head of Ragnarok backwards.
Ragnarok is rocked! Carter makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. Ragnarok is still on wobbly legs! Can Carter finish him? Carter scores with a shot to the side of Ragnarok's head. Ragnarok being controlled against the cage. Carter lands a hook that snaps the head of Ragnarok backwards. Carter lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Ragnarok backwards. Carter gets through Ragnarok's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. Carter lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage. Carter lands with a short punch from the clinch.

That's two minutes gone in the round. This has been an exciting period of action! Carter pushes Ragnarok against the cage. Carter is working some dirty boxing. Carter pushes off with a quick right hook! Ragnarok goes down! Ragnarok tries to stand but stumbles back to his kness! Carter moves in to finish and the ref steps in to prevent any more damage!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:09 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Greg Carter!
