Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Adam Rubio (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jebediah Stewart (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Stewart is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Momma Said Knock You Out. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stewart tries to close the distance and clinch but Rubio swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Rubio fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Rubio drives through and clinches with Stewart against the cage.

Rubio is working an open guard so Stewart takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Stewart can do anything to dispel that myth.

That was a close round but I would say that Adam Rubio will probably get the nod.

Rubio changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Stewart tries to avoid it but Rubio manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Stewart to the ground. Stewart escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
