Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jason Mitchell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jon Snow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mitchell's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Badass by Saliva. Jason Mitchell has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jon Snow!
The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, John Mangel and Winston Howard.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Snow stuffs the takedown.

Mitchell moves into the clinch.
Mitchell drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Snow wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Mitchell is trying to pull guard but Snow has him pressed against the cage.

Snow tries to close the distance and clinch but Mitchell swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

and Snow makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

Mitchell throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.

Snow tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Mitchell paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Snow stuffs the takedown attempt from Mitchell. Mitchell gets slowly back to his feet.
Snow shoots in but no luck this time.
Snow moves in looking to clinch but Mitchell pushes him off.

Mitchell shoots in for a double leg but Snow sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Snow tries to clinch but Mitchell moves out of range.

Snow closes the distance and clinches up with Mitchell, looking for a takedown. Snow pushes Mitchell against the cage but Mitchell circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

That was a close round but I would say that Jason Mitchell will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Snow tries to clinch but fails miserably

and Mitchell counters with a single leg into guard. Snow didn't expect that.
Mitchell controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

Snow has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Mitchell uses from the top position.

Jason Mitchell overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

I would just about give that final round to Jon Snow.
Well Mitchell has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
