10 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jagdish Rangarajan! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
13 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Chris Cook! The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Dean Styles and Russell Pearce.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cook is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Rangarajan. Cook lands with a nice combination. Rangarajan backs away looking to recover.
It looks like Jagdish Rangarajan has been cut. Cook clinches up with Rangarajan and pushes him back against the cage. Rangarajan has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Cook lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. Cook goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
With the two fighters working up against the cage, Cook just misses with a elbow thrown towards Rangarajan's brow. Rangarajan working hard to break the clinch. Cook missing with knees to the body.

Cook lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. With the two fighters working up against the cage, Cook just misses with a elbow thrown towards Rangarajan's brow.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cook misses with a short punch on the inside. Cook working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely. Cook tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. Cook misses with a hook from the clinch. Rangarajan manages to break the clinch.

and Rangarajan finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body. Cook tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Cook takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Cook lets his hands go wild with a nice combination. Left! Right! Uppercut! Spinning backfist! Rangarajan goes down and covers up as Cook starts wailing on him! The ref watches the action closely before stepping in and putting a stop to the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:43 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Chris Cook! Chris Cook is the new super heavyweight champion!
