Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Stas Andreev!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Spustilsya Gor!
The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Vladimir Khabensky.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Andreev pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Andreev keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Andreev throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Andreev uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Gor.
Gor shoots for a double leg takedown but Andreev sprawls well. He's pushed Gor's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Stas Andreev seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Andreev stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Andreev wants it to stay on the feet.
Stas Andreev has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Spustilsya Gor.
Andreev throws a sloppy head kick and Gor moves out of range easily.
Andreev throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Andreev gets caught flat footed, as Gor shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Gor works over Andreev with some ground and pound from guard.
Gor trying to control the position from guard on top but Andreev is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Gor prevents Andreev from getting back to his feet.
Gor controlling from the top position.
Gor sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Andreev's guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Andreev is looking to escape.
Gor is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Andreev wants to get back to his feet.
Gor lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Gor throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Gor is nestled in close to Andreev, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Gor connects with a nice short shot to Andreev's temple.

Andreev knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Gor on the ground.
Andreev is trying to stand up here but Gor is controlling him well.
Andreev on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Gor is taking a breather. Andreev says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Let's hope that Gor has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Andreev pushes Gor off looking to stand but Gor dives back in and keeps control.
Well, if Gor is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Gor throwing shots but Andreev is blocking nicely.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Spustilsya Gor wasn't active enough on the ground.
Gor takes a kick to the side of the head.
Andreev misses with a head kick.
Andreev keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Gor.
A head kick misses from Andreev.
Andreev is breathing heavily.
Gor fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Andreev manages to avoid it.
Andreev tries a head kick but it misses.
Gor closes this distance looking for a takedown but Andreev circles away.

Andreev gets caught flat footed, as Gor shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.


Andreev is rocked!
Gor postures up from his opponent's guard, before exploding into some vicious ground and pound! Andreev covers up, he's hurt! Gor keeps throwing the strikes, glancing at the referee... Will he stop it?? One more big shot from Gor and the ref steps in to end the fight! Gor can't hide his delight as he celebrates with his corner.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:05 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Spustilsya Gor!
