Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Casey Silk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Liam Machin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silk bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Silk swings and misses with a hook to the body.
No joy there for Machin, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Machin throws a hook to the side of Silk's head but Silk sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Machin works the jab nicely.
Machin throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Machin misses with a straight left.
Silk throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Silk scores with a takedown into Machin's guard.
Machin keeping moving, preventing Silk from controlling successfully.
Machin utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Silk looking to pass the guard.
Silk wants to control from the top but Machin keeps moving.
Silk is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Silk throws a strike but Machin rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Silk is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Machin wants to get back to his feet.

Silk throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Machin to regain full guard.

Silk stands up and waves to Machin to follow him.

Machin drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Silk throws an elbow to the body but it doesn't land.
Machin wants to control but Silk is keeping him busy.

Silk manages to work his way to half guard, despite Machin's best efforts.

Machin wants to pass to mount but Silk is defending the position.

Machin is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Silk doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Machin.

Machin is pressing down on Silk's thigh, looking to free his foot. Silk is holding on for now.

Machin is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Silk has managed to free his arm - good work.
Silk gets full guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Silk is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Machin is aware though and is defending well.
Silk thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.

Liam Machin is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Machin drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Silk is trying to control Machin's posture but Machin avoids it.

Silk tries to buck Machin off but Machin is having none of it.
Machin trying to control the position but Silk is working away.

Machin tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Silk gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.

Silk pushes Machin off looking to stand but Machin dives back in and keeps control.
Machin wants to lay and pray for a moment but Silk keeps working.
Silk has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Machin is working away from the top position though.
Silk is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Machin's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Machin's back!
Silk lands with a hammerfist to the side of Machin's head.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Silk postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Machin looks a forlorn figure.

Machin tries to reverse the position but Silk maintains control.
Machin is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

Casey Silk overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Silk looking to finish Machin with some ground and pound. This is bad for Machin!

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Machin takes a big shot to the dome and his eyes have rolled back in his head! Silk's killer instinct has kicked in as he finishes the fight with more strikes. Impressive finish.
