Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Grant Brophy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chris Kendall (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brophy comes to the cage accompanied by LL Cool J - Mama Said Knock You Out. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
20 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Grant Brophy! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Chris Kendall! The judges for this bout are James Atkins, James Glass and Richard Clark.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Brophy throws a head kick that misses. Kendall cracks Brophy with a right hand to the side of the head. Brophy tries to clinch up and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick. Kendall looks to score with a jab to the body but Brophy is just out of range. Brophy moves to clinch but Kendall breaks away and Kendall makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick. Good leg kick by Kendall there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Kendall misses the body punch and Brophy counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Brophy throws a sloppy head kick and Kendall moves out of range easily. Brophy tries to close the distance and clinch but Kendall swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Kendall sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Brophy darts in trying to clinch and Kendall counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Brophy takes one on the button.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kendall looks to land a combination. Brophy sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Kendall slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Kendall lands a nice shot to the body.
Kendall thows a body kick. Brophy tries to catch it but that hurt him. Brophy throws a sloppy head kick and Kendall moves out of range easily. Brophy wants to clinch and Kendall cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Kendall cracks Brophy with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. Brophy tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Kendall manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Kendall cracks Brophy with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Brophy lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. Kendall lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Kendall feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Brophys jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Kendall cracks Brophy with a right hand to the side of the head.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Brophy tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Kendall manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Kendall throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. Brophy tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Kendall counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Jab by Kendall. Brophy throws a lazy head kick and Kendall counters with a stiff right hand. Kendall misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Brophy.
Brophy takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Brophy crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Kendall - the referee stops the clock and Brophy gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Kendall. Brophy manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. Brophy tries to clinch but Kendall moves out of range. Kendall uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Kendall cracks the inside of Brophy's front leg. Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Kendall. Brophy shrugs it off though. Kendall dips to his left and cracks Brophy with an uppercut! Kendall is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Brophy had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Brophy throws a body kick the misses and Kendall counters with a body kick. Brophy is breathing heavily. Brophy takes a shot right to the bread basket. Nice body punch from Kendall. Brophy takes a head kick and keeps coming.

Brophy takes one on the button. Kendall connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. Kendall cracks Brophy with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Some bone on bone action there as Kendall checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. A good leg kick by Kendall. Brophy moves out of range of the body kick. Kendall throws a nice head kick!
Brophy wants to clinch but Kendall slips to the side and Kendall counters with a nice low kick that buckles Brophy's knee momentarily. Ouch! a nice leg kick from Kendall, right into the meat.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kendall wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Kendall throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Brophy stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Kendall lands with a kick to the ribs.
Brophy takes one to the chin there. Kendall lands with a thumping leg kick.
Nice uppercut there from Kendall. Kendall scores with a hook to the body. Brophy takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Kendall lands a jab. Brophy takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Kendall jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Kendall ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Kendall keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Kendall with a body punch. A glancing blow. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Chris Kendall dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Kendall throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Brophy. Kendall scores with a sloppy right hand. Brophy should have avoided that one. Brophy misses with a body kick. Chris Kendall seems to be getting the better of the standup. Kendall throws a head kick that misses. Brophy throws a head kick that misses. Brophy wants to clinch up but Kendall keeps it at a distance. Kendall lands a jab to the nose. This has been an exciting period of action! Brophy moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Brophy is looking to clinch but Kendall is avoiding it.
Brophy throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
A decent looking cross lands there for Kendall. Grant Brophy is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Brophy takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Brophy looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kendall changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Kendall scores with a nice right hand.
Kendall fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Brophy looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Kendall has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Kendall clobbers Brophy with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Brophy darts in trying to clinch and Kendall cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. A head kick misses from Kendall. Kendall darts in and out, connecting with a jab. This has been an exciting period of action! Kendall changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Kendall feints a jab promting Brophy to slip. Kendall then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Brophy slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Brophy is rocked! Kendall throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena. Oh Brophy is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Decent striking displayed by Kendall there. Brophy is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kendall lands a leg kick that knocks Brophy off balance momentarily. Kendall throws a monster overhand right that drops Brophy! Kendall follows up with more strikes from mount and the fight is all over!
