The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Donk. Kilimanjaro catches Apollo right on the button with a cross.
Apollo tries to close the distance and clinch but Kilimanjaro swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Apollo takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Kilimanjaro misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Kilimanjaro shoots in but Apollo avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Kilimanjaro misses with the combination.
Apollo thuds his right hand into Kilimanjaro's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Jab, jab by Kilimanjaro - just one landing.
Apollo takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Apollo tries to clinch there but Kilimanjaro circles away.
Apollo swings for the body but Kilimanjaro moves out of range.

Kilimanjaro has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Apollo is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Kilimanjaro pushes off an throws an elbow but Apollo leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.
Kilimanjaro goes for a takedown attempt but Apollo pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Ryan Apollo has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hector Kilimanjaro.

Apollo moves into the clinch successfully.

and Apollo counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Kilimanjaro looks gassed!
Kilimanjaro throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Apollo's waist but Apollo gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Kilimanjaro off to one side.
Nice jab there from Apollo.

It looks like Hector Kilimanjaro has been cut.
Apollo lets loose with a powerful body kick. Kilimanjaro will feel that in the morning.

Apollo swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Apollo throws a push kick but Kilimanjaro slaps the foot to one side.
Hector Kilimanjaro seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Whack! Apollo lands a heavy head kick that drops Kilimanjaro. The ref tackles Apollo to stop the fight - a great save by the referee because Kilimanjaro was done.
