Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Reijo Raju (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pekko Persvako (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Persvako shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Persvako was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Raju is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Raju defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Persvako.
Raju tries to lock up and control but Persvako gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Persvako tries to get the hooks in deep but Raju pushed the leg off.
Raju breaks Persvako's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.

Persvako should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Persvako has his foot on Raju's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Raju works his way back into a safe position though.

Raju wants to pass the guard but Persvako is keeping the position.

Raju drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Raju jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Persvako controls Raju momentarily but Raju frees himself.

Persvako is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Raju's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Raju's back!
I really don't envy Raju right now.

Persvako has control of Raju's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Raju regains control of the situation pretty easily.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Persvako is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Raju can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

and Persvako counters with a nice double leg into side control. Raju won't be happy with that.

Persvako is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Raju has escaped the position, nice work there.

Persvako has hold of Raju's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Raju seems comfortable defending it but Persvako has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Raju is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Raju is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Persvako couldn't care less - he's delighted!
