Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Muad Dib (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brandon Burnett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, John Mangel and Winston Howard.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Dib throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Burnett was covering up waiting for the punch and Dib finishes the takedown easily into guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Burnett tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Dib pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Burnett is keeping the position for now.
Burnett avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Dib has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Dib thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Dib looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Burnett with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Burnett looks like he's trying to stand up.

Dib wants to work for an arm triangle but Burnett is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Burnett is trying to stand up here but Dib is controlling him well.
Burnett is staying active underneath Dib, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Dib is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Burnett doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Dib.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Burnett throws a front kick that sends Dib stumbling back into the cage.
Burnett scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Burnett keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Burnett tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Dib manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Burnett stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet.

A decent looking body kick lands there for Burnett.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Burnett wants to get up but he can't break Dib's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Brandon Burnett wasn't active enough on the ground.

Burnett shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Burnett was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Dib is looking to improve his position but Burnett isn't that keen on the idea.

Dib sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.
Burnett controlling the pace.
Burnett seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Dib does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Burnett is looking to take a break and control but Dib is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Burnett has gone for a leg lock! Dib slips out almost immediately though and dives into Burnett's guard.

That's time! Dib's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Burnett scores with a head kick. Dib tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.

Dib gets caught flat footed, as Burnett shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Dib is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Burnett rolls with it to try and escape but Dib cranks on the arm and Burnett is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
