Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Geese Howard!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Pablo Sir!
The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Hugh Johnson and Eliza Hachem.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sir misses with a few strikes there.
Sir lands a jab-cross combination.
Howard on the wrong end of a nice jab.

Howard darts in and clinches Sir up against the cage.
Howard putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Sir in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body.
Howard lands an elbow inside.


It looks like Pablo Sir has been cut.
Howard tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Sir avoids it.
Howard slowing the pace effectively.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Howard tries to land knees in the clinch but Sir avoids the damage to the body.
Howard keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Sir's efforts to push away.

Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Howard obliges.
Howard slows down the pace here.
Howard seems to have come into the fight with the intention of avoiding any damage in the clinch, rather than actually showing any aggression.
Sir can't break the clinch.
Howard keeps control of Sir as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Howard lands a good knee to the midsection. Sir won't want to take too many of those.
Howard lands a nice elbow from the clinch.
Sir has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Howard is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Sir tries to break free but Howard pushes him back against the cage.
Howard slows down the pace here.
Sir takes an elbow to the temple.

Howard ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Howard no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Howard has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Sir can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Sir is posturing up here but Howard has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Sir tries to roll out but it's too tight and Sir has to tap! Slick submission there by Howard!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:51 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Geese Howard!
Geese Howard really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that HeavyWeight Designs logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
