2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Keke Rosberg! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Waderlei Wilson! The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Thiago Cunha and Felipe Paraventi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rosberg tries to clinch up but Wilson circles away and keeps his distance. Wilson tries for a takedown but Rosberg sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Wilson looks to clinch and Rosberg counters with a nice double leg into guard. Wilson working a defensive guard here.
Rosberg avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Wilson keeping moving, preventing Rosberg from controlling successfully. Rosberg is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Wilson is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Wilson throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

Wilson wants to get back to his feet but Rosberg drags him back down. Rosberg wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Wilson, who protects the arm well. Rosberg is staying tight to Wilson's torso, preventing him from escaping.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wilson tries to buck Rosberg off but Rosberg is having none of it. Rosberg tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Rosberg has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Rosberg is breathing heavily. Rosberg has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. Wilson gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Rosberg counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Rosberg is trying to control the action in half guard but Wilson is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Wilson tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land. Wilson manages to escape and get back to his feet! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage! Wilson fails with the takedown and Rosberg counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Wilson's guard now. Keke Rosberg has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Waderlei Wilson.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rosberg advances to half guard. Rosberg prevents Wilson from improving his position. Wilson is trying to maintain the position but Rosberg is very close to passing his half guard. Wilson is not content to let Rosberg control the position. Rosberg lands with a punch from half guard. Wilson works his way to full guard. Good work. Wilson is trying to control the position from the bottom.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Rosberg controls the pace of the fight for a moment. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Rosberg drops back, looking for a kneebar! Wilson looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Wilson looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Wilson! Rosberg is looking for a sweep. Wilson trying to control the position but Rosberg is working away. Rosberg looks to move to half guard but instead Wilson has passed into mount! Damn! Rosberg is looking to get to half guard. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Wilson stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing. Wilson shoots in for a double leg but Rosberg sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Wilson throws a sloppy head kick and Rosberg moves out of range easily. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Rosberg shoots and misses and Wilson counters with a takedown into side control. Wilson working away. Wilson is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Rosberg knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Wilson tries to advance to mount but Rosberg denies him. Rosberg pushes Wilson away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Wilson gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Rosberg is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Rosberg is staying active underneath Wilson, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Wilson wants to work for an arm triangle but Rosberg is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Rosberg wants to get back to full guard but Wilson has passed into side control. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Wilson looking to secure an arm triangle but Rosberg defends it well.

Wilson has control of Rosberg's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Rosberg regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Rosberg is looking to improve his position but Wilson isn't that keen on the idea. Wilson dominating with strikes here. Keke Rosberg overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Wilson thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Wilson works over Rosberg with some ground and pound from guard. Rosberg had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Wilson is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Rosberg Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Wilson's back instead.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Wilson defends a prolonged rear naked choke attempt and turns nicely into his opponent's guard. Rosberg is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Wilson is controlling him. Wilson gets to his feet. Rosberg looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Rosberg fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Rosberg with a lazy takedown attempt and Wilson holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Keke Rosberg. That's going to take a lot out of him. Rosberg goes for a takedown attempt but Wilson pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The fight stays on the outside here - Rosberg looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Wilson postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Rosberg to stand up. Waderlei Wilson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Rosberg circles away from the clinch attempt and Rosberg counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Wilson working for a triangle but Rosberg defends it easily.

Rosberg doesn't succeed with the takedown and Wilson counters with a nice uppercut. Wilson fails with the takedown and Rosberg decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Wilson's guard.
Wilson is rocked! Rosberg won't allow Wilson to sweep him here. Rosberg seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Wilson can't keep his opponent in guard - Rosberg advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Well, if Rosberg is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Rosberg is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Wilson doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Rosberg. Rosberg is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Wilson is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Rosberg's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Rosberg's back! Rosberg tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell! Rosberg tries to get back to half guard but can't. Rosberg is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Rosberg is desperately trying to improve his position but Wilson has a good base and remains in mount. Rosberg tries to hold on but Wilson postures up.

Wilson is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Rosberg has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here. Rosberg breaks Wilson's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Wilson tries a head kick but it misses.
A choreographed right hand from Wilson misses the target. Wilson throws the kick towards the body but Rosberg avoids it. Wilson scores with a leg kick.
Wilson fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Rosberg sprawls well initially but Wilson persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Wilson is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

And that's the end of the fight! Keke Rosberg showed his dominance in that final round. I think Rosberg has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
