Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ronaldo Souza (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joe Boxer Jr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Souza comes to the cage accompanied by Taio Cruz - Dynamite. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ronaldo Souza! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
10 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Joe Boxer Jr! The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Robert Twigg and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Boxer Jr throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Souza tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Boxer Jr throws a wild body kick that Souza sees coming a mile off. Boxer Jr misses with a wild body shot. Boxer Jr throws a body punch but Souza moves out of range. Boxer Jr throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Boxer Jr stuffs the takedown attempt from Souza. Souza gets slowly back to his feet. Souza throws a jab when Boxer Jr was well out of range. Boxer Jr throws a hook but Souza avoids it easily. Boxer Jr cracks Souza with a right hand to the side of the head.
It looks like Ronaldo Souza has been cut. Boxer Jr moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. Boxer Jr buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Souza is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Boxer Jr's half guard. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Souza is thwarting Boxer Jr's attempts to control the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Souza seems to be looking for submissions.
Boxer Jr blocking the ground and pound attempt from Souza. Boxer Jr is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Boxer Jr trying to hold on to Souza's head to control him but Souza postures up.

Boxer Jr really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Souza. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Souza is trying to work for a kimura but Boxer Jr is defending well.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Boxer Jr manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Souza manages to get himself to full guard.
Boxer Jr works a leg free and moves into half guard. Boxer Jr tries to pass the half guard into mount. Souza knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Souza is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Boxer Jr's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Boxer Jr's back! Souza is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Boxer Jr knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Boxer Jr for a finish. Souza has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Boxer Jr has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Boxer Jr rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Boxer Jr can do anything to dispel that myth. Boxer Jr is looking to improve his position.
Souza is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Boxer Jr doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Souza. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Souza seems to be working for a kimura but Boxer Jr defends the submission attempt. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Boxer Jr connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Joe Boxer Jr seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Souza shoots for a double leg takedown but Boxer Jr sprawls well. He's pushed Souza's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Souza wants to clinch up but Boxer Jr keeps it at a distance. Boxer Jr with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Souza slips under a jab. Souza tries for a takedown but Boxer Jr sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Good standup being displayed there by Boxer Jr as he connects with a hook. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Souza is defended easily by Boxer Jr. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ronaldo Souza. That's going to take a lot out of him. Souza shoots in but no luck this time. Souza misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
That's one minute gone in the round. Souza shoots in for a takedown and gets it. The fighters are battling for position here. Boxer Jr manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Souza drops back looking for a leg! Boxer Jr is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Boxer Jr manages to kick Souza off! Souza jumps back into Boxer Jr's guard. Boxer Jr wants to sweep but no luck. Boxer Jr keeping moving, preventing Souza from controlling successfully. Boxer Jr is trying to control the position from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Souza wants to control from the top but Boxer Jr keeps moving. Souza stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Boxer Jr swivels though and keeps the full guard. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
We're going to have a standup here because Ronaldo Souza wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Souza throws a right hand that Boxer Jr ducks under and follows up with a left that Boxer Jr also avoids with ease. Boxer Jr throws a chopping leg kick but Souza manages to avoid taking any serious damage. Joe Boxer Jr is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Souza closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Boxer Jr did well to prevent Souza getting side control. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Boxer Jr gets full guard. Boxer Jr is trying to control the position but Souza postures up. Boxer Jr tries to land a sweep but no joy. Souza throws a big right hand that misses. Souza pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Boxer Jr is keeping the position for now. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Souza drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Boxer Jr dives on top into guard. Boxer Jr trying to control the position from guard on top but Souza is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Boxer Jr must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Boxer Jr avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Boxer Jr trying to control the position from guard on top but Souza is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Souza is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Boxer Jr defends well. Souza wants to improve his position but instead Boxer Jr has moved into half guard.
Souza makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Souza. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Boxer Jr is sitting in close to Souza's body. Souza has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Boxer Jr is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Boxer Jr is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Souza.
