Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
14 - 11 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Robert Mules! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
19 - 10 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Sam Nut! The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Viktor Lagutenko and Ivan Kurochkin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nut throws a nice head kick!

Mules throws a shot from downtown. Nut moves away and avoids it. Nut fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Mules has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Nut tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Mules's corner calls for a 1-2. Mules obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Nut tries to land a front kick but Mules steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Nut is looking to score with low kicks. Mules throws a lazy right hand but Nut sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Nut misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

A slow jab from Mules misses its intended target. Nut darts in and out, connecting with a jab. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Nut tries to clinch but Mules moves out of range. No joy there for Mules, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Mules throws a body punch but Nut moves out of range. Nut connects with a leg kick. Mules looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. Mules with a jab. Sam Nut seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Nut rushes Mules and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Mules misses with a shot to the kidneys.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! With the two fighters working up against the cage, Nut just misses with a elbow thrown towards Mules's brow. Nut throws a body kick despite being completely out of range and Mules counters with a stiff right hand. Mules shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. Mules checks a low kick from Nut. An inside leg kick from Nut misses. Nut throws a nice head kick!

Nut tries to clinch up but Mules circles away and keeps his distance. Nut avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Nut uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Mules. Nut ducks under a wild hook from Mules. Nut throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Mules attempts a low kick but it misses it's target. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Mules throws a left and a right that both miss
and Nut counters with a low kick, right behind Mules 's knee. Nut closes the distance but Mules moves to the side and Mules counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Nut lands a nice looking body shot.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Nut moves forwards but Mules connects with a nice, crisp jab. Mules keeps the fight on the outside. Nut fails with an attempt to clinch.

On paper you would think he is the more dominant ground fighter so let's see if these unusual tactics pay off. That's four minutes gone in the round. Nut fakes the leg kick and cracks Mules in the body. This has been an exciting period of action! Nut tries to clinch but Mules is having none of it. That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Mules crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Nut - the referee stops the clock and Mules gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Nut. Mules manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. Sam Nut seems to be getting the better of the standup. Nut has Mules up against the cage in a clinch.
