The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Albert Achterberg and Daniel Blasius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Flint swats away the attempt to clinch by Shambles.
Shambles throws a right hand that Flint ducks under and follows up with a left that Flint also avoids with ease.
Flint throws a leg kick which misses Shambles's front leg but catches the back leg as Shambles tries to avoid it.
Flint fails to land the takedown.
Flint throws a head kick that Shambles semi-blocks.
Flint tries a head kick but it misses.
Flint gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Flint breaks the clinch.
Freddy Flint seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Shambles tries to clinch but Flint moves out of range.
Shambles misses with a takedown
and Flint counters with a nice body shot.

and Flint counters with a nice uppercut.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Flint takes a head kick and keeps coming.
It looks like Freddy Flint has been cut.
Flint avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Shambles closes this distance looking for a takedown but Flint circles away.

Flint pushes Shambles back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Shambles changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Flint fights it off and pushes away nicely.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Zach Shambles. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Flint pushes Shambles up against the cage in a clinch.
Flint's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Flint misses with a jab, cross combination.
Shambles shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Flint sprawls well. Flint wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Shambles gets slowly back to his feet.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Flint tries to pass to full mount but Shambles defends it.
Flint scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Flint connects with a nice short shot to Shambles's temple.
Shambles is in trouble now - Flint has advanced to mount!
Shambles is breathing heavily.
Shambles tries to reverse the position but Flint maintains control.
Flint lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Shambles hang on?
Flint looking to isolate an arm here. Shambles doesn't see it coming and as Flint extends the arm, he's forced to tap out! Nice submission by Flint!
