Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Johnny Woo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Enrico Mazzarri (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Johnny Woo! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Enrico Mazzarri! The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Damien Edna and John Mangel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Woo fails with a takedown attempt. Woo gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Mazzarri counters by moving into the clinch. Woo breaks from the clinch.
Woo rushes Mazzarri and presses him up against the cage. Mazzarri tries a body shot but Woo blocks it.
Woo breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Woo has managed to clinch.
Woo slowing the pace effectively. Woo tries to score a body lock takedown but Mazzarri shows good agility there to stay on his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Johnny Woo. That's going to take a lot out of him. The referee calls for Mazzarri to work.
Mazzarri turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! Woo tries to bench press Mazzarri off him but Mazzarri keeps the position. Mazzarri working away. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Woo taking a bit of punishment here - Mazzarri scoring with strikes. Woo takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Mazzarri tries to move into full mount but can't pass Woo's legs. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Woo sneaks back into half guard. Mazzarri is thwarting Woo's attempts to control the position. Mazzarri missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Woo has hold of Mazzarri's hands but Mazzarri slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Mazzarri slips a nice elbow through Woo's hands, connecting with Woo's forehead. Mazzarri missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Woo wants to get back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mazzarri throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Woo is looking to control Mazzarri's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Woo avoid being mounted? Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Mazzarri wants to lay and pray for a moment but Woo keeps working. Woo is trying to control but can't.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Mazzarri connects with a nice short shot to Woo's temple. Mazzarri working the head and body with strikes. Woo trying to control from the bottom.
Mazzarri is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Woo has managed to free his arm - good work. Mazzarri wants to pass to mount but Woo is defending the position. Woo regains full guard. Nicely done.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Woo striking off his back but it's not causing Mazzarri any problems. Mazzarri is looking to work some ground and pound but Woo has wrist control. Woo is adopting a defensive guard. Mazzarri throwing strikes but missing. Woo working a defensive guard here.
Mazzarri thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Mazzarri is in close to Woo's body, working some short punches and elbows.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Johnny Woo. Mazzarri throws a series of punches but Woo moves out of range. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Mazzarri fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Woo, pushing him back against the cage. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Woo drags the fight down to the ground.
Mazzarri connects with a couple of short punches. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Enrico Mazzarri dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Mazzarri stuffs the takedown attempt from Woo. Woo gets slowly back to his feet. Woo looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Mazzarri misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Woo misses with a takedown attempt and Mazzarri counters with a straight punch to the midsection. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Johnny Woo. That's going to take a lot out of him. Woo lands with a right hand. Woo shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Mazzarri napping and manages to drive through into side control! Woo works to advance to full mount. Mazzarri defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs. Mazzarri tries to hold on but Woo postures up. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Mazzarri can do anything to dispel that myth. Woo throwing shots from mount but they're not landing.

Woo is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Mazzarri to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Mazzarri shrugs it off. Woo goes for an armbar but Mazzarri turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Mazzarri. Mazzarri is looking to work some ground and pound but Woo has wrist control. Mazzarri postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Mazzarri is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Woo looking to control.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Mazzarri stands up over Woo, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Enrico Mazzarri has got the better of the ground game so far. Woo bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Mazzarri's guard. Woo throwing strikes from guard but Mazzarri blocks nicely. Mazzarri trying to keep a closed guard but Woo is proving a slippery customer.
Woo stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Mazzarri swivels though and keeps the full guard. Mazzarri keeping moving, preventing Woo from controlling successfully. Woo preventing the sweep.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Woo has gone for a leg lock! Mazzarri slips out almost immediately though and dives into Woo's guard. Mazzarri tries to free his leg and advance position but Woo is retaining full guard. Woo utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Woo is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Mazzarri wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Mazzarri has a closed guard, preventing Woo from standing up. Woo wants to control from the top but Mazzarri keeps moving. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Woo wants to pass the guard but Mazzarri is keeping the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Johnny Woo will probably get the nod. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! And we move into the final round!
Woo clinches. Mazzarri tries to land a knee to the head but Woo blocks with his arms.

No, Mazzarri has managed to get both his arms back between Woo's legs - danger averted. Mazzarri won't allow Woo to sweep him here. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Mazzarri looking to pass the guard. Woo is trying to control the position but Mazzarri postures up. Mazzarri postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Woo is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Mazzarri pulls his head out easily. Mazzarri thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Woo's head. Mazzarri lands strikes from half guard. Woo gets full guard. Mazzarri chips away with some ground and pound. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Mazzarri's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Woo had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Mazzarri defends it easily. Mazzarri lands a couple of decent looking shots. Mazzarri is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Mazzarri connects with a couple of short punches. Mazzarri advances to half guard. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Mazzarri looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Woo with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Woo wants to improve his position but Mazzarri is controlling well.

And that's the end of the fight! Enrico Mazzarri comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Mazzarri has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
