Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Alacrity Fitzhugh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Daniel Connors (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fitzhugh comes into the arena with Master of Puppets blaring out of the sound system. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Alacrity Fitzhugh! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Daniel Connors! The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Ben Zyskovitsi and Roosa Järviläinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Connors clinches. Fitzhugh pulls guard effortlessly. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Fitzhugh tries to land a sweep but no joy. Connors controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Fitzhugh has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Connors can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Connors is pushing down on Fitzhugh's leg trying to pass to half guard. Fitzhugh is fighting to maintain full guard but Connors has managed to sneak the leg through. Connors controlling the action here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Fitzhugh wants to get back to his feet. Connors passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Fitzhugh! Connors breaks from Fitzhugh's wrist control and lands an elbow. Fitzhugh flailing away with punches but nothing is landing.
Fitzhugh is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Connors looking to control and managing it successfully.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Fitzhugh is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.
Fitzhugh tries to buck Connors off but Connors takes his back! Connors is riding his opponent, not letting Fitzhugh buck him off. Fitzhugh showing good submission defense here.
This has been an exciting period of action! Fitzhugh holding both Connors 's hands and preventing any damage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Fitzhugh rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
Fitzhugh is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Connors pulls his head out easily. Fitzhugh looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Fitzhugh is breathing heavily. Connors seems to be working for a kimura but Fitzhugh defends the submission attempt.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Fitzhugh looking for submissions off his back. Connors slows the pace down in half guard. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Connors is pressing down on Fitzhugh's thigh, looking to free his foot. Fitzhugh is holding on for now. Connors keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Daniel Connors dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Fitzhugh tries to clinch but Connors moves out of range. Fitzhugh looks to clinch and Connors counters with a single leg into guard. Fitzhugh didn't expect that. Connors slips nicely into half guard. Connors is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Fitzhugh is just riding it out for now. Connors eventually gives up the hold. Connors seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Fitzhugh actively working from the bottom here. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Fitzhugh wants to sweep but Connors has passed to side control! Fitzhugh is trying to escape and get back to his feet. Daniel Connors has got the better of the ground game so far. Fitzhugh wants to control but Connors postures up. Connors happy to just control the position for now. Connors trying to control the position but Fitzhugh is working away. Fitzhugh is looking to reverse the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Fitzhugh is not content to let Connors control the position. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Fitzhugh is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Connors off and has taken his back! Fitzhugh is cranking Connors's head sideways - that looks painful. He's managed to get his other arm under the chin and this looks bad for Connors! He's tightened the choke and Connors is tapping out!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:41 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Alacrity Fitzhugh!
