Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Russell Pearce and David Schapiro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boyka tries to close the distance and clinch up but Gordon swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Gordon moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
A punch combination from Gordon misses.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Boyka.
Boyka shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Gordon pinned against the cage. Gordon gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Gordon looks to land a combination but Boyka avoids it well.
Boyka misses with a jab, cross combination.
Boyka is trying hard to land a takedown here. Gordon sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Boyka fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Gordon avoids it really well and circles away.

Gordon rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Boyka moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Gordon tries to clinch there but Boyka circles away.
Gordon swats away the attempt to clinch by Boyka.
Gordon connects with a crisp jab.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Gordon enables Boyka to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Gordon manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

Gordon manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Boyka manages to get himself to full guard.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Gordon really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Boyka. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Gordon throws a right and a left that Boyka avoids nicely.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

John Gordon seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Gordon doesn't manage to clinch there - Boyka circles away.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Boyka dives in and scores a takedown into Gordon's guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Gordon can do anything to dispel that myth.
Gordon can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Boyka controls the pace.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
John Gordon dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Horrible takedown by Boyka or perhaps it was just good defense by Gordon which made him look bad.
Boyka shoots for a double leg takedown but Gordon sprawls well. He's pushed Boyka's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Nice takedown defense from Gordon. No joy for Boyka on that attempt.

Gordon goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Gordon is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Boyka.
Gordon throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Gordon lands with a nice body punch.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Gordon keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Gordon throws a combination. Boyka tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
John Gordon seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Gordon lands a big uppercut and Boyka crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Boyka looks OK. Gordon waves Boyka back to his feet!
Boyka is rocked!
BOOM! Gordon lands a beautiful left hook that drops Boyka. Boyka tries to recover but Gordon is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Boyka lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:02 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). John Gordon!
