Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jett The Jedi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joe Swanson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The Jedi comes to the cage accompanied by Force . Joe Swanson told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jett The Jedi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
18 - 16 - 0, fighting out of New York, Joe Swanson!
The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Jonathan Paton and John Kavanagh.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The Jedi shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
letting Swanson counter with a right hand.
Swanson misses with a looping right.
Swanson swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
so The Jedi counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
The Jedi throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Swanson works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
The Jedi trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
The Jedi postures up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The Jedi trying to control but Swanson is working from the bottom.
Swanson has a closed guard, preventing The Jedi from standing up.
The Jedi trying to control the position from guard on top but Swanson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The Jedi looking to pass the guard.
That's one minute gone in the round.
We're going to have a standup here because Jett The Jedi wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
The Jedi gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Swanson counters with a low kick, right behind The Jedi 's knee.
The Jedi fails with the takedown
and Swanson counters with a straight right hand.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jett The Jedi. That's going to take a lot out of him.
The Jedi pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
The Jedi uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Swanson.
The Jedi doesn't succeed with the takedown
enabling Swanson to counter with a crisp jab.
The Jedi is rocked!
The Jedi is holding his hands too far apart here. Swanson throws a hard, straight punch right down the pipe and BOOM! The Jedi is out! That punch landed square on the jaw - what a shot!
