Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jason Craik! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Darron McClain! The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Paul Aken and Radbod Blank.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! McClain lands a jab. McClain wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Craik looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Craik has taken the fight to the clinch.
Craik breaks the clinch.
Craik gets cracked with a nice right hand there by McClain. Craik misses with a hook. Craik closes the distance and pushes McClain back into the cage. Stalling in the clinch from Craik.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. McClain slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! McClain is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Craik has escaped the position, nice work there. McClain sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Craik is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
McClain works to advance to full mount. Craik defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
That's one minute gone in the round. McClain looking to ground and pound but Craik is blocking nicely. Craik knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for McClain on the ground. Craik tries to reverse the position but McClain maintains control. Craik tries to hold on but McClain postures up. Craik is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Craik is looking to get to half guard. Craik wants to control but McClain is having none of it. McClain unloads with some shots from mount but Craik bucks and avoids them well.

Craik tries to lock up and control but McClain gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Craik is trying desperately to improve position. Craik is working hard here to advance position. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! McClain looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. Craik looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. McClain gets full guard. Craik with a flurry of punches that miss. McClain has a closed guard, preventing Craik from standing up. Craik gets to his feet. McClain looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! McClain fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Craik on the side of the head. McClain moves out of range of the strikes. McClain fails with the takedown.
That's two minutes gone in the round. McClain throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Craik has taken the fight to the clinch.
Craik is pressed up against the cage. McClain has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Craik down to the mat. Craik avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Jason Craik has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Darron McClain. Craik slips under a jab from McClain. Craik fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with McClain, pushing him back against the cage. McClain misses with an uppercut. Craik saw that one coming. Craik lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Jason Craik seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. McClain takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. McClain gets cracked there but stands up to it.
It looks like Darron McClain has been cut. McClain gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Craik to score an easy takedown into full guard. McClain is breathing heavily. McClain is trying to keep Craik in close.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Craik gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. McClain showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Craik.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Craik works over McClain's head and body with a nice combination. McClain throws a hook but Craik avoids it easily. Craik slips under a jab from McClain. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Donk. Craik catches McClain right on the button with a cross. Jason Craik is winning the standup battle so far. Craik jabs McClain right on the nose. McClain blinks but takes it well. Craik looks for a takedown but McClain sprawls well. McClain looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Craik is fending him off so far but McClain persists. Craik manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Craik bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Craik throws out a loose jab but McClain uses good head movement to avoid it. McClain dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Craik misses with an uppercut. Craik connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. McClain loads up on a big right hand but Craik slips the punch.
That's three minutes gone in the round. McClain shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Craik but Craik pushes him off and we're back to square one. Jason Craik has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Darron McClain. McClain throws a lazy right hand but Craik sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. McClain ducks under a wild hook from Craik. McClain shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Craik sprawls well. Craik wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. McClain gets slowly back to his feet. Good shot there by Craik. A big right from McClain misses.
