10 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Preuss Belfort! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
14 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Michael Jakson! The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Alan Glass and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Belfort fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Preuss Belfort seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Jakson. Jakson closes the distance and clinches up with Belfort, looking for a takedown. Jakson pushes Belfort against the cage but Belfort circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Belfort has a takedown stuffed. Belfort shoots in but Jakson avoids the takedown attempt easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Preuss Belfort. That's going to take a lot out of him. Jakson throws a head kick that misses. Belfort is looking to clinch. Jakson gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Jakson can do anything to dispel that myth. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Jakson lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Belfort! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jakson changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Belfort tries to avoid it but Jakson manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Belfort to the ground. Belfort escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Preuss Belfort has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Michael Jakson. Jakson feints and as Belfort raises his hands in defense, Jakson changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Belfort can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Jakson controls the pace. Belfort wants to sweep but no luck. Belfort will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Belfort avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Jakson loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Jakson has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Jakson controlling his opponent. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Michael Jakson has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Jakson shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Jakson showed some decent athleticism there. Belfort looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Jakson is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Belfort defends it well. Belfort looks like he's trying to stand up.

Jakson throwing shots but Belfort is blocking nicely. Preuss Belfort has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Jakson controlling the action here. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Jakson decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.
And that's the end of the fight! Michael Jakson comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Jakson has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
