Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mark Malsone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jay Marsh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Mark Malsone has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Mark Malsone! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jay Marsh! The judges for this bout are William Peck, Yves DeLean and Elvis Blanc.

Marsh clinches up with Malsone and pushes him back against the cage. Malsone has had enough of the clinch but Marsh keeps him there for the moment.
Marsh gets a trip takedown into half guard.
Malsone looking for submissions off his back. Marsh lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Marsh is looking to take a break and control but Malsone is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Marsh passes the guard and advances to mount! Malsone wants to hold on but Marsh pushes him away.

Marsh controlling his opponent. Marsh has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Marsh is in the full mount, landing strikes. Marsh with the ground and pound from mount. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Marsh controlling the position easily from mount. Marsh lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

Marsh takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Marsh prevents Malsone from getting the reversal. Marsh content just to control the position here.

Marsh is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Malsone's half guard. Marsh passes the guard and advances to mount! Marsh tries to control but Malsone wriggling away. Malsone is wriggling around trying to escape.
Marsh tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Marsh with shots to the head and body - Malsone looks very uncomfortable down there. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Marsh tries to control but Malsone wriggling away. Malsone tries to reverse the position but Marsh maintains control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jay Marsh dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Malsone slips under a jab. Mark Malsone seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Malsone throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Malsone stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Malsone wants it to stay on the feet. Marsh fails with a takedown attempt. Malsone connects with a leg kick. Marsh looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. Malsone ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Marsh shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Malsone as he avoids it easily. Mark Malsone has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jay Marsh. A nice inside leg kick there by Malsone. That's going to slow Marsh down.
Marsh changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Malsone looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Malsone can't do much from the bottom here. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Marsh throwing strikes but missing, from side control. Marsh trying to control the position but Malsone is working away.

Marsh tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Marsh has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Malsone is trying to improve his position. Malsone prevents Marsh from moving into mount. Marsh working away. Malsone is trying to improve his position. Marsh wants to control but Malsone is keeping him busy.

Marsh wants to control but Malsone is keeping him busy. Malsone dodges the ground and pound from Marsh. Malsone on the wrong end of some ground and pound. Malsone is trying to improve his position. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Marsh trying to control the position but Malsone is working away. You can see the frustration on Malsone's face as Marsh controls the position. Malsone can't do much from the bottom here. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Malsone is looking to reverse the position.

It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jay Marsh showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!
Marsh looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Malsone lands with a kick to the temple. Marsh shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Marsh takes a kick to the side of the head. Malsone goes for a high kick. It partially lands. Marsh tries for a takedown but Malsone sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Marsh closes the distance and clinches. Marsh goes for a takedown in the clinch but Malsone prevents it.
Mark Malsone has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jay Marsh. Malsone wants to break free but Marsh has control.
Malsone misses with a knee strike.
Malsone is trying to break free. Malsone throws a knee to the head but misses.
Both fighters are breathing heavily. Marsh goes for a takedown attempt but Malsone pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Marsh drives through with a takedown into Malsone's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. Marsh stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Malsone swivels though and keeps the full guard. Malsone looking to control.
Malsone can't keep his opponent in guard - Marsh advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Marsh looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Well, if Marsh is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Marsh shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Malsone keeping moving, preventing Marsh from controlling successfully. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Marsh works a leg free and moves into half guard. Marsh is figuring out what he wants to do next. Marsh frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Marsh unloading with bombs!
And that's the end of the fight! Jay Marsh comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Marsh winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
