Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jimmy Esperanza (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jesus Rios (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Jesus Rios was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
20 - 18 - 0, fighting out of London, Jimmy Esperanza! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
18 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Jesus Rios! The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Andrew Berry and Sam Margolis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Esperanza fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Rios tries a head kick but it misses.
Rios pushes Esperanza up against the cage in a clinch. Esperanza scores with a knee to the head.
Rios lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage. Esperanza blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Esperanza lands a left hand.
Rios is trying to stall.
Rios pushes Esperanza back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head. Esperanza is trying to force a seperation but Rios has the dominant position. Esperanza blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Rios lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. A short right from Rios. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Esperanza misses with a knee to the head. Esperanza stalling in the clinch.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jimmy Esperanza. That's going to take a lot out of him. The fight stays on the outside here - Rios looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Rios throws a right and a left that both miss.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Esperanza shoots in but Rios avoids the takedown attempt easily. Esperanza fails with the takedown letting Rios counter with a right hand. Rios tries to clinch but Esperanza is having none of it. Rios comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Esperanza is breathing heavily. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Esperanza looks for a takedown but Rios sprawls well. Rios clinches. Rios tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Esperanza's elbow. Rios lands a hook that snaps the head of Esperanza backwards. Rios is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage. Rios misses with a hook to the ribs.

The referee is keeping an eye on Rios - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Rios throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Esperanzas head. Rios is defending well against a takedown attempt. Esperanza blocks a body shot from Rios. Esperanza lands a good knee to the midsection. Rios won't want to take too many of those. Rios content to slow the pace in the clinch.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Rios digs a right hand underneath Esperanza's ribcage. Esperanza let out a lung full of air as it connected. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Rios tries to work over Esperanza's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. A head punch blocked on the inside by Esperanza. Rios leaning against his opponent.
Rios misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Rios tries to throw a body punch but Esperanza avoids it by throwing Rios back against the cage. Esperanza blocks a body shot from Rios. Rios blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Rios misses with a short punch on the inside. Rios working some nice short punches in the clinch. Esperanza looking to throw knees to the head but Rios is blocking nicely.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Rios misses with a body punch.
Rios tries to work over Esperanza's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Rios misses with a punch to the body.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jesus Rios dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Esperanza. Rios lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. Rios misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Rios throws a combination. Esperanza tries to block but a couple of punches get through. Rios wants to clinch. Esperanza gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Rios counters with a slapping leg kick. Rios closes the distance and lands a one-two. Rios fails in his attempt to clinch. Esperanza avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Rios is looking to clinch but Esperanza is avoiding it.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Esperanza misses with a takedown attempt - Rios sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jimmy Esperanza. That's going to take a lot out of him. Rios moves away from the strike by Esperanza. Rios closes the distance and clinches. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky. Esperanza blocks an uppercut.

Rios working some nice short punches in the clinch. A head punch on the inside from Esperanza fails to land. Jesus Rios seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far. Rios lands a body shot. Rios lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Esperanza or not. Rios tries to throw a body punch but Esperanza avoids it by throwing Rios back against the cage. Still in the clinch, Rios scores with a nice short uppercut. Rios stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Rios tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rios doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Esperanza's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! Esperanza's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Rios has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Esperanza takes a kick to the side of the head.
Esperanza is rocked! Jimmy Esperanza is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Rios seems to be stalking Esperanza here. He circles momentarily and then unleashes a devastatic head kick! Esperanza drops like a stone, out cold! WOW! Are you kidding me!? What a knockout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:27 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Jesus Rios! Jesus Rios really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that O'Brannigan's Fightwear logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
