Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Rodrigo Verson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brad Fickett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
13 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Rodrigo Verson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
11 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Brad Fickett!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fickett throws a head kick but Verson moves out of range.
Verson closes the distance and clinches up with Fickett, looking for a takedown. Verson pushes Fickett against the cage but Fickett circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Fickett misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Verson scores with a leg kick.
Fickett looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Verson throws a series of punches but Fickett avoids them all with ease.
Verson avoids the head kick by Fickett.
Verson fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Fickett, pushing him back against the cage.
Fickett tightens his grip and picks Verson up, before dumping him to the ground. Verson manages to land in guard.
Fickett tries to stand but Verson is controlling from the bottom.
Verson looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Fickett wants to pass the guard but Verson is keeping the position.
Verson manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Fickett in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Verson working for a guillotine from mount but Fickett is in no mood to give up.
Verson tries to control but Fickett wriggling away.
Verson goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Fickett turns into him and now he's in Verson's guard.
Verson escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Fickett gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Verson keeping moving, preventing Fickett from controlling successfully.
Verson is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Fickett distracts Verson with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Fickett tries to free his leg and advance position but Verson is retaining full guard.
Verson lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Fickett!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Fickett wants to control but Verson is having none of it.
Fickett taking shots to the head.
Fickett wants to hold on but Verson pushes him away.
Fickett is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Verson is staying active.
Fickett is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Verson cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Fickett is rocked!
Verson is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Fickett can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Fickett is still in real trouble! Can Verson finish him?
Oooooh, big shot lands for Verson! Fickett is hurt baaadly! Verson is firing away with more strikes - Fickett is covering up... the ref is warning him to do something. He's just covering up though still and the ref has to step in to end the fight! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:02 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Rodrigo Verson!
