Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between John Ketchup (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frank Powers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). John Ketchup looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 19 - 0, fighting out of London, John Ketchup! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
10 - 17 - 0, fighting out of London, Frank Powers! The judges for this bout are William Gold, Andrew Berry and James Atkins.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ketchup shoots for a double leg takedown but Powers sprawls well. He's pushed Ketchup's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Ketchup is looking to clinch but Powers is avoiding it.
Ketchup gets cracked there but stands up to it.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Powers is defended easily by Ketchup. Ketchup is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Powers shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Powers showed some decent athleticism there. Powers stops Ketchup from getting back to his feet.
Powers not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Ketchup is refusing to be controlled, as Powers sits in half guard. Ketchup is looking to improve his position.
Powers seems to be looking for submissions.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ketchup is not content to let Powers control the position. Ketchup blocking the ground and pound attempt from Powers. Powers is trying to control the action in half guard but Ketchup is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Ketchup tries to roll over but Powers keeps him under control. Powers has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Ketchup is breathing heavily. Powers sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Ketchup defending well though. Ketchup desperately trying to maintain half guard. Powers throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Ketchup to regain full guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Ketchup is trying to keep Powers in close.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Powers wants to control from the top but Ketchup keeps moving. Powers throws a big right hand that misses. The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Powers fails with the takedown. Powers changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Ketchup tries to avoid it but Powers manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Ketchup to the ground. Ketchup escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. John Ketchup has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Frank Powers. Ketchup tries to clinch up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ketchup has closed the distance and engaged Powers in a clinch.
Ketchup breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Ketchup really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Powers closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Ketchup to the mat! Ketchup manages to get full guard. Powers wants to control from the top but Ketchup keeps moving. Powers engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Powers accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Ketchup pulls Powers in close to prevent any damage. Ketchup throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Powers throwing strikes but missing. Powers slips nicely into half guard. Ketchup blocking the ground and pound attempt from Powers. Powers wants to work for an arm triangle but Ketchup is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Powers tries to pass to full mount but Ketchup defends it. Powers sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Ketchup defending well though. Powers looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Ketchup with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Powers stalling away here and it's allowed Ketchup to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard. Ketchup working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Powers. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Frank Powers dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Ketchup. Powers shoots in but no luck this time. Powers displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Ketchup. That's better than Powers was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Ketchup is looking to get to half guard. Powers lands a heavy elbow. Powers lands a big elbow. Powers dominating with strikes here. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Powers lands with some strikes.
That's one minute gone in the round. Powers is landing with some decent strikes but Ketchup is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Powers takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Powers working the ground and pound effectively.
Powers controlling the position easily from mount. Powers wants to finish this one by submission but Ketchup is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Powers. Ketchup taking shots to the head. Powers pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ketchup keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

Powers landing shots from mount. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Powers content just to control the position here. Frank Powers has got the better of the ground game so far. Ketchup in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. Powers unloading with bombs! Powers punishing his opponent with strikes. Powers is in the full mount, landing strikes. Ketchup tries to get back to half guard but can't.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Powers lands a nice shot to the head. Powers is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Powers extends the arm and Ketchup is forced to tap!
