Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Shigeki Fujiwara.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Loesure avoids the body shot from Cota.
Cota ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Loesure moves away.

Cota dodges the punch combination from Loesure.
Loesure lands a left and a right that send Cota crashing to the mat, dazed. Loesure thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

It looks like Matt Cota has been cut.
No joy there for Loesure, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Loesure lands a left and a right that send Cota crashing to the mat, dazed. Loesure thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Loesure is breathing heavily.
Cota closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Cota moves into full mount! Loesure won't be happy about that!

Cota working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Loesure turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Cota off and cradles Loesure's limp body as Cota celebrates with his corner.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:01 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Anaconda Choke). Matt Cota!
