Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Quick Smalls (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Trevor Gillmeister (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Trevor Gillmeister has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Quick Smalls! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Trevor Gillmeister! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Alan Glass and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gillmeister misses with a looping left. Smalls fails with the takedown. Smalls tries to clinch but Gillmeister is having none of it. Smalls feints and as Gillmeister raises his hands in defense, Smalls changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Gillmeister tries to land a sweep but no joy. Smalls missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Smalls working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Gillmeister's head. Gillmeister is trying to control the position from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Smalls is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Smalls trying to control but Gillmeister is working from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Smalls makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Smalls throws a big right hand that misses. Gillmeister wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Smalls controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Gillmeister wants to stand and escape but Smalls is having none of it. Smalls in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Smalls loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Smalls postures up and lands a big shot to Gillmeister's brow. Smalls stands up from Gillmeister's guard - Smalls perhaps looking for a knockout.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Smalls misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Smalls looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Gillmeister is fending him off so far but Smalls persists. Nope, Gillmeister circles away and we're back to standing. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Quick Smalls. That's going to take a lot out of him. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Smalls changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Gillmeister tries to avoid it but Smalls manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Gillmeister to the ground. Gillmeister escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Smalls slips under a jab from Gillmeister. Smalls ducks under a wild hook from Gillmeister. Gillmeister throws a lazy uppercut
and Smalls counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Gillmeister! Smalls has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Smalls with the ground and pound from mount. Smalls has hold of Gillmeister's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Gillmeister manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Smalls fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Smalls throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Gillmeister because Smalls loaded up on that one. Smalls working Gillmeister over with strikes here. The referee warns Gillmeister that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Smalls scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Gillmeister holds of for dear life. Smalls is landing with some decent strikes but Gillmeister is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Smalls punching from mount but Gillmeister doing a good job of avoiding damage. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Smalls lands a heavy elbow. Smalls postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Gillmeister looks a forlorn figure.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Gillmeister is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. Smalls locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! Gillmeister is forced to tap!
