Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Peter Just (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Trent Severn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Just might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Intriguing Possibilities- Trent Reznor. Severn has chosen White Zombie - Electric Head: The Extasy (Pt 2) as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Peter Just!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
10 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Trent Severn!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Gregory Folan and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Severn takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Severn shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
A left lands for Severn.
Just walks into a jab.
Severn throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
letting Just counter with a right hand.
Severn smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Severn lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Severn lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Just is rocked!
Severn throws a series of punches but Just moves out of range.
Oh Just is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Just displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Severn throws out the jab.
Severn loads up on a big right hand but Just slips the punch.
Severn misses with a hook.
Severn waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Just.
Just throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Severn was covering up waiting for the punch and Just finishes the takedown easily into guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Severn controls Just momentarily but Just frees himself.
Just seems to have got his legs back now.
Just postures up in Severn's guard and throws a big left but Severn blocks it.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Just accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Severn looking to hit a scissor sweep but Just is one step ahead there.
Severn trying to control the position.
Just is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Just drops back, looking for a kneebar! Severn looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Severn looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Severn!
Severn wants to control but Just is keeping him busy.
Just has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Just tries to buck Severn off but Severn is having none of it.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Severn decides to stand back up. Severn steps back and let's Just get back to his feet.
Just steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Severn.
Severn looks to land a combination. Just sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Just bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Just with a jab.
Trent Severn seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Severn is looking to slow Just down with leg kicks.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Severn connects with a single shot there.
Nice sprawl there from Severn as Just shoots in.
Severn bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Just lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Severn circles away quickly and effectively.
Severn dodges the punch combination from Just.
Just throws the left hand but Severn avoids the punch easily.
Severn wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Just is breathing heavily.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Just seems to be squinting his left eye. Perhaps he got a poke in that previous exchange. Severn shows no mercy and swarms him with a barage of strikes! Just is backing up but Severn catches him with a final right hook that drops him! Just covers up and the referee steps in to end the fight! Severn Jumps to his feet and flashes his guns to the crowd. Oh yeah, baby! How'd you like them apples?!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:08 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Trent Severn!
