PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Martin Cristos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mark Two (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cristos comes to the cage accompanied by Cypress Hill - Hand on the Pump. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Two fails with the takedown
and Cristos counters with a good low kick that Two was not able to check.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Two working to pass to mount. He's got his hand pressing down on Cristos's thigh. Cristos counters though and makes it back to full guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

That was a close round but I would say that Martin Cristos will probably get the nod.

Cristos clobbers Two with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Cristos feints and then cracks Two's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Two down.

Two shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Cristos pinned against the cage. Cristos gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Cristos does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Two fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Cristos to the ground. Two is now in Cristos's guard.
Cristos wants to stand and escape but Two is having none of it.
Two throws an elbow that misses. Cristos uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Two's guard. Nice move by Cristos!
Two can't keep his opponent in guard - Cristos advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Cristos is stalling here. Two is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Cristos seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Two has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.
Mark Two has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Two wants to lay and pray for a moment but Cristos keeps working.
Two throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Cristos works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure.
