Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Frank Shewmaker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ken Shoryu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Shoryu is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Undertaking the Work of the Lord by Hatewire. Ken Shoryu will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Emerson Jorge and Daniel Cesar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shewmaker moves into the clinch successfully.
Shoryu prevents the takedown attempt.
Shewmaker keeps control of Shoryu as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Shewmaker jumps into guard, dragging Shoryu to the mat.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Shewmaker bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Shoryu's guard.
Shewmaker drops back looking for a leg! Shoryu is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Shoryu manages to kick Shewmaker off! Shewmaker jumps back into Shoryu's guard.

Shewmaker drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Shewmaker jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Shewmaker is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Shewmaker drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Shewmaker seems to have locked his on tight now - Shoryu screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Shewmaker, as he picks up the win!
