Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Robbie McStar! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
10 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, George Hardy! The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Daniel Blasius and Paul Aken.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! McStar shoots in looking for a takedown but Hardy manages to keep the fight standing, pushing McStar's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Hardy is looking to land body kicks. Hardy misses with a two punch combination.
Hardy takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Hardy throws a head kick that misses. McStar has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Hardy. McStar throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Hardy was covering up waiting for the punch and McStar finishes the takedown easily into guard. McStar content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! McStar throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Hardy works some decent striking defense from the bottom. McStar cracks Hardy with a solid left hand. Hardy working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from McStar. McStar stays in close to Hardy's body and controls the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. McStar trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Hardy wants to stand and escape but McStar is having none of it. McStar throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Hardy works some decent striking defense from the bottom. McStar has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. McStar with a flurry of punches that miss. Hardy wants to stand up but McStar is controlling him. McStar trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. McStar trying to control but Hardy is working from the bottom. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as McStar accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
That's two minutes gone in the round. McStar throws a big elbow that misses. McStar looking to sit in guard and control but Hardy gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. McStar manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
McStar fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
McStar unloading with bombs! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. McStar looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. McStar won't let Hardy get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now. McStar misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
McStar breaks from Hardy's wrist control and lands an elbow. McStar lands a heavy elbow. McStar with the ground and pound from mount.
Hardy is rocked! Hardy looks gassed! McStar connects with a bit shot that sees Hardy covering up! More strikes from McStar and the referee jumps in to stop the fight! McStar is our winner by TKO!
