The bell rings for round one and we are underway! De Perereca tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Ho manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Ho drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. De Perereca is looking to regain half guard here but Ho keeps moving and retains side control. The strikes coming from Ho are missing the target in this wave of attacks. Ho working the ground and pound from side control. Ho working away. Ho scores with a couple of short elbows. You can see the frustration on De Perereca's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Ho landing a few strikes. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Ho scores with punches from side control. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Ho lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head.
