Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Brandon Carter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brandon Vandrax (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Carter comes into the arena with LiL B: Beat The Odds blaring out of the sound system. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carter shoots in and gets a takedown into Vandrax's guard.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Carter slips nicely into half guard, despite the strikes coming from Vandrax.
Vandrax wants to get back to full guard.
Carter with the ground and pound but Vandrax uses the opportunity to regain guard.
Vandrax looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Vandrax escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Carter gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Carter throws a strike but Vandrax rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Vandrax drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Carter dives on top into guard.
Vandrax avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Carter drops back, looking for a kneebar! Vandrax looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Vandrax looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Vandrax!

Vandrax working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Carter gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Carter actively working from the bottom here.
Vandrax is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Carter defends it well.
Vandrax is working for a kimura but Carter is defending it quite comfortably.

Vandrax is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Carter sees it coming and defends easily.
Carter wants to get back to full guard.
Carter is working on a guillotine. He's managed to get to full guard and he's really squeezing tight! Vandrax is tapping! Great win for Carter!
