The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Konstantinov takes the fight into the clinch. An uppercut to the body lands inside from Mara. Mara scores with a jab. Konstantinov acknowledges it with a nod of the head. Mara connects with a looping right hand.
It looks like Evgen Konstantinov has been cut. Konstantinov fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Mara, pushing him back against the cage. Mara lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Konstantinov tries to break free but Mara pushes him back against the cage. Mara scores with a shoulder strike. Mara taking a break, stalling in the clinch.
Mara keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Konstantinov's efforts to push away. Mara lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage. Konstantinov tries to circle away but Mara has him pinned against the cage. Mara keeps control of Konstantinov as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Konstantinov wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

That's one minute gone in the round. An uppercut to the body lands inside from Mara. Mara lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage. Konstantinov is breathing heavily. Mara is struggling to control the position. Konstantinov is trying to break the clinch but Mara is controlling him. Konstantinov is trying to break free. Mara slowing the pace effectively. A nice left hand lands by Konstantinov.
Konstantinov wants to stall.
Konstantinov is trying to force a seperation but Mara has the dominant position. Konstantinov looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Mara works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Mara lands with a light punch inside. Mara gets through Konstantinov's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. Mara's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Konstantinov clinches.

Mara's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. Mara lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage. Mara pushes Konstantinov back against the cage and unloads with a body punch. Mara lands a left hand that snaps the head of Konstantinov backwards. Mara lands a body shot in the clinch.
Mara lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Konstantinov. Mara digs a right hand into Konstantinov's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Konstantinov's gas tank. Mara stalling against the cage.
Konstantinov wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Mara has him pressed against the cage. Mara breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Mara drops a shoulder and throws an uppercut that cracks Konstantinov right on the button. Konstantinov goes down! Mara follows him to the mat and finishes the job with more strikes! Mara gets the win via TKO!
